How is this tailored for dysplasia versus general hip pain or FAI?+
The requirements and function of a hip with mild, moderate or severe dysplasia often differ. This plan is tailored to the common themes and difficulties people with hip dysplasia encounter. Where others might benefit from more robust exercises or stretches, this plan starts at a suitable place and progresses slowly, mindful of the potential for instability.
Are modifications offered for hypermobility or associated instability?+
Yes. While the app does not have separate levels or options, the spectrum of instability, whether joint-specific or general hypermobility, is considered within this plan so it caters to the needs of those who would benefit most from it.
How are psychological components like fear avoidance integrated?+
The plans are structured so that the areas people struggle with due to fear-avoidant behaviour are considered. The app also helps you track your weekly psychological resilience, which lets me see who may be struggling more and understand where improvements can be made.
What support is provided if a flare-up occurs during Phase 2?+
As this is a self-directed programme, 1:1 support with me is available if you have signed up to receive touch points (on the Restore tier) or if you book a specific consultation. The education content also gives you a clear strategy for managing flare-ups as they happen.
